Present
Moment:
Inertia
• What would happen if you were to stop using the muscles of your body?
Without use, they begin to waste.
• Eventually, you’ll become immobilized, unable to move. The same applies
to our mental health.
•
How you feel has a dramatic impact on how you behave which in turn will
effect what you will achieve.
YOUR Actions depend on WHAT?
• What you do in Life depends on how YOU communicate with ????? Yourself…
• So Communication is POWER again..
• If you Master the Effective use of this then you can CHANGE your behaviour and feelings.
Behaviour and Feelings are based on some form of Communication with
yourself
• You are the one who decides how to feel and ACT based upon your life.
• Most of us are on Auto-pilot…
• To change and how quickly you do it – depends on your internal
communication.
Habits form the engine beneath the hood of our car.
• Good habits move us forward; bad habits set the car in reverse.
• Now and then we should look out the window to see which way we’re
driving.
• Does it make any sense to keep going if we’re driving the wrong way?
Good habits are our best friends.
• Aristotle taught, "We are what we repeatedly do. -
Therefore - Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."
• Nathaniel Emmons wrote, "Habit is either the best of servants or
the worst of masters."

Where are you today?
• Are you stuck in a rut?
• In a job you don't enjoy?
• Have you certain ambitions that you've set aside as unachievable?
• Do you keep making a change but something is holding you back?
• Do you lack the confidence to be the person you want to be?
• Want to improve your career prospects!
"People are constantly observing your
Behavior and forming theories about your competence, character, and
commitment, which are rapidly disseminated throughout your workplace,"
Your Professional Image is the
set of qualities and characteristics that represent perceptions of your
competence and character as judged by your key constituents (i.e.,
clients, superiors, customers, subordinates, colleagues). |
Seven Fundamental Traits for creating EXCELLENCE:
1. Passion:
Biggest Driver of Success - Without this you do not
Achieve anything
•You get ‘No-where’ without - Passion
•So get JUICED UP to make you feel Inspired
•A Man without passion is a fire without light
•A person without passion has no more value than a candle without a
flame or fire without light. By passion I mean zeal, enthusiasm, or fervour.
It is the force that relentlessly drives one forward. Passion is a burning
desire that creates commitment to a person, project, or life. A world
without passion is a world without Mother Teresa, Mozart, or Michelangelo.
Every great endeavour has been fuelled by passion.
2. Belief -- Birth of Excellence - Beliefs are like commanders of
the brain.
•This works in two ways. It can make you Successful or it can Destroy
you..
•So Believe in yourself – you have done it before and you can do it now.
•Stop creating Limiting Beliefs inside you with negative thoughts about
your abilities.
•BELIEF drives your Attitude.
3. Strategy –Right set out path
•Best Talents and Ambitions need to drive through the Right Avenue.
•All goals without Strategies are ??? useless - Waste of Time and
Energy..
•MAP your PATH and FOCUS.
•Do we always go in straight line?
•Align yourself for progress or when in any doubt
4. Clarity of Values
•Values are specific belief systems we have about what is right and what
is wrong for our lives.
•They are the judgments we make about what makes life worth living.
•Are our strategies for Success affected by our values? You bet.
•If your strategy for success requires you to do things that do not fit
your unconscious beliefs about what is right or wrong for your life, then
even the best strategy will not work.
•Check your POSITIVE VALUES - Honesty, Reliability, Excellence, Security,
Freedom, Contribution,
5. Energy – Fuel of Excellence
•You can change your internal talk all day long, but if your
biochemistry is messed up, it’s going to make the brain create distorted
representations.
•Energy supports you – ask any athlete, people who have broken records,
people who have kept going, yourself at times when going was tough but you
did not give up – got small success
6. Bonding Power or Synchronisation
•Can you drive a car forward without being in synchronisation. Same
theory applies – to Life
•Ability connect with people, bond with people and developing Rapport –
Achieved by most successful people.
7. Master Communications - Avenue for Excellence
•Dealing with outside world and inside world
•Quality of life depends on quality of our thinking – you become what
you think
•Way we communicate with ourselves and way we communicate with others,
determines the quality of our life.

YOU are a HERO
Our self-image and our habits tend to go together. Change one and you
automatically change the other.
Maxwell Maltz (1899 – 1975)
PROFESSIONAL OR TECHNICAL:
Most people want to be described as technically competent, socially
skilled, of strong character and integrity, and committed to your work, your
team, and your company. Research shows that the most favorably regarded
traits are trustworthiness, caring, humility, and capability.
People manage impressions through their non-verbal behavior (appearance,
demeanor), verbal cues (vocal pitch, tone, and rate of speech, grammar and
diction, disclosures), and demonstrative acts (relationships, job
performance).
POWER OR PRAISE
In business people may be initiated by money or perhaps power or
position. These do not necessarily remain as important triggers. Time and
time again companies pay lip service to the importance of appreciation and
involvement and yet they spend so much energy motivating their staff
exclusively through incentive schemes, loyalty packages and money.
They are missing the point. Of course money is a motivator, but not the
only one.
A word of praise is priceless.
